Article 55 of the Constitution of Ukraine entitles everyone, after use of all national legal remedies, to seek protection of their rights and freedoms to the relevant international judicial institutions or to the relevant bodies of international organizations, where Ukraine is a member or a participant.

Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms provides that in case of violation of its provisions, the person whose rights have been violated may appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.

The European Court of Human Rights is an organization created to monitor observance of rights and freedoms of a person and a citizen, enshrined in the European Convention on Human Rights, 1953.

That is, the legislator provides a person, whose rights and freedoms have been violated, with an opportunity to seek protection of their rights and freedoms in the European Court of Human Rights.
